Hi,I just brought home our 93 XJ-S 4.0 Conv. from a 10 year storage garage in Georgia,it has 44k miles on it. All Original / Excellent Condition. *** Problem : When the battery is connected the car beeps...also head/side lights flash until vehicle is started. Then all is fine... Shut off vehicle ,then it beeps/lights again...until battery is disconnected or restarted ????? The only bulb that i found that is out,is the right front fog light, now on order. Any Helpful Info??? Thanks!

The same sort of thing always happens on my Car, as if you are not sat on the seat with the key in the ignition, within about 30 seconds all hell breaks loose.
Which is an absolute PIA when you call in a Garage to buy Petrol and you are either putting your Wallet away or fumbling for the keys.
That's my Theory anyway, though no doubt someone else may jump in, with another solution.

Your security ECU is upset about something. If your keyless remote is in good working order, then you may be able to fix this normally by resetting the remote as suggested. It sounds like this car is well preserved, so hopefully that's all you need to do.
If your remote is missing, dead, or worn out, then getting the security system under control can be a tricky and frustrating experience. There have been a number of threads in the past regarding this (such as this one), so searching the forums can help.
In the worst-case scenario, or if you just need to stop the blinking to buy you some time, you can simply unplug the security ECU. Your keyless access and other advanced security functions will obviously not work, but the car will start and run normally and the battery won't run down or have to be disconnected. I posted a pic of the block connector for the ECU in the linked thread above.
Good luck!
