94 jag.xjs 4 liter (6 cyl.) No Start
I have a 94 jag. xjs, 6cyl. and it will not start.I checked ign. key voltage and it has 12 volts until you move key to position 1 or position 2.Volts then drop down to 9.I have checked ignition key connector and it is good. When I add another hot wire to the key ignition wire`s,car starts and volt meter works (didn`t work before).I have a new battery and have checked relays and fuses for excess volt draw.I would like to know if I can leave this extra hot wire in the ignition system. In warm weather car would start but with difficulty.Cold weather no start.
Thanks,HarryK

Found problem, ignition power feed wire from bulk head not making good contact. The power lead is located inside car behind dash on bulkhead (firewall).Connection felt tight but when you applied pressure to it battery voltage stayed up when ignition key was moved to position 1 or 2. Just tighten wire connection nut. HarryK
