Ezrider & dsetter,
Tks for correcting me. I went and checked the last (and only) RHD XJS 6 litre convertible today and it does indeed have an OBDII shaped port in the passenger footwell. I don't know how compliant it is to OBDII protocol standards so will check that at the weekend.
Tks again

95 V12 Conv and OBD Diagnostics
the main reason for wanting this is my kitty was running fine, then (don't all the stories start this way) one day after a long drive including Interstate speeds 80+, off highway for a bit and a shut down for an hour, cool day mind you... I started it up (fine) but when I touched the accelerator it did not respond, backed off to just a touch and was able to ease it up to driving speeds any speed.. with rpm's it responded somewhat hesitantly but did eventually get up to speed. after this it starts fine as always, runs normal, but when warms up begins to act up.
OK, checking temp sensors, and find the ECTS eng coolant temp sensor located in the water channel where one of the thermostats lives. It's showing short,, replaced with a variable pot while new one arrives) ,and it runs but misses frequently., still has smell, like before when missing, "stumbles" as someone has said which is pretty good description.
Thanks JIM
