Default 96 XJS 4.0 Water Pump Replacement Question

In an attempt to find the source of coolant droppings on my garage floor, I performed a pressure test on my coolant system and found my water pump to be leaking at the weep hole.
QUESTION: Do I need to remove the radiator to change out the water pump? It appears the fan must first be removed from the water pump pulley before I can start attacking the pump. Yes? I have loosened the four nuts holding the fan to the pulley, but can't pry the fan flange away from the face of the pulley. Any additional advise would be appreciated.
Thanks
Kevin
