Default Abs control module repair

i get the antilock brake warning light at 15 miles/hrs and code 1095 . Id like to pull the module to be sent out for repairs(soldering is not my specialty). Looking for recommendations . I found a company called Module Repair with a $149 service.??? Ive also read you can remove the module without the pump are there any diys on this procedure? Thank you,Jeff

Jeff,

You haven't said what model you've got. I'm presuming your VIN is pre-198335 and therefore has the early Teves system?

Before you start taking anything apart, have you performed the "Blink Test" and also the 32 Continuity Tests to verify what is the fault?

Cheers

Paul

There is a thread on the forum below on how to r&r the module without disconnecting all of the lines. It's for a different model Jag, but the process should be the same or similar:

It's around post #25.

I had the same problem with my '95 XJS. It ended up being bad solder joints on the ABS control module. I followed the same instructions as jal1234 linked, cut the control module open, reflowed the solder, re-sealed the module with RTV, and the problem hasn't come back.
