ABS Dash Light

It would be ideal if you could pull the code for the ABS. I had a dying ABS sensor at the passengers side front wheel. (Maybe it was the drivers side???) It starts off as a very intermittent issue and it slowly gets worse. I eventually bit the bullet and bought a new one and everything has been great ever since. Cleaning the sensor would buy me time as well....until the light wouldn't even stay off for a week.
There is another known issue with the ABS ECU that causes the light to come on due to a failing solder joint. It would require cutting open the sensor box and reflowing the solder joint, then sealing things back up with some caulk/gasket maker.
The tapping on the box is likely irrelevant....unless the failing solder joint responds to that sort of thing. The light would usually reset after I restarted the car after a shutdown. The car has to hit 15mph before it will retest itself and extinguish the light.

The ABS light will sometimes come on in both my 95 and 96 if the car has been sitting for a while. The light will go away after a few miles or the next time it is started. I have not noted any decrease in braking ability. I've had the 95 for eight years and it happened the first time I drove the car. It hasn't gotten any worse in that time.
