ABS valve block fail, hard pull left

ABS Brake Block Issues
1994 XJS V12 Convertible with the same brake pulling issue as OB previously discussed. My question is, can the ABS Brake Block be rebuilt? More specifically how would you go about getting the Valves out, are they pressed in or threaded in? Has anyone out there done this?

Hi XJSrookie
Does your XJS Master Cylinder Actuator look like this?
Does your Brake Master Cylinder Actuator look like this?
If so the answer is Yes, you can 'TRY' and rebuild it but 'There is 'NO GUARANTEE OF SUCCESS'
although I Strongly advise you to get the Wires Professionally Soldered.
This thread should tell you all you need to know:

Teves ABS strip

I managed to strip and fully repair my ABS unit on my1989 Convertible but it was a bit fiddly. The valves pop out from the housing by prising then out carefully with a couple of sharp edged screwdrivers, after removing the nasty ribbon cable which was thrown away after a drawing was made of the circuit. The filter screens can be prised out after the peened over material is removed with a graving tool or sharp blade. The valves themselves can't be stripped but I cleaned them in an ultra sonic cleaner with fresh brake fluid. The problem with the valves can be the collected mush behind the filter screen gets pushed into the valve when anybody tries to reverse bleed the system or more usually it happens when you prise the calipers apart to remove the pads without first clamping the brake line. After cleaning all the valves they were re fitted and rewired with proper wire. Much more reliable. This cured all my braking issues and has been working now for nearly 3 years. So the golden rule is to always bleed in the right direction i.e. From reservoir to caliper, also I used pressure and vacuum methods but the method mentioned in the workshop manual worked best.
All this was talked about between Orange Blossom and myself back then so should still be possible read the thread. Hope this helps
Dave
