AC Compressor Advice
I need to install a new AC Compressor in my 95 v12 and am very confused by the options available. I would like to get a new good quality Compressor and Receiver/Dryer.
Can anyone recommend which brand and part number I should be looking for and a reliable and inexpensive source for said part in the US?
I believe my XJS came with a Sanden AC Compressor stock
Thanks in advance

I don't know the specifics you are looking for, but I would highly recommend getting new hoses if you are going to pay for the compressor. I don't know, and I could be wrong, but I am assuming the XJS never made it to R134. R134 molecules are smaller than R12 and tend to leak on R12 systems.

All cars sold in the US after 1993 were required to be R134a. My 86 was converted to R134, 6 years ago by me and it still blows ice cold with no top-up since. Used the same old R12 hoses, there is some truth to the tale but it isn't as severe as people make out.

I've bought that kit from RockAuto.
Everything fit and everything has held up nicely, albeit for just one year.
I also bought an A/C vacuum pump and valve set from Harbor Freight. Lastly I bought r134a from eBay because it seemed difficult to find refrigerant without sealers and oil included.
Make sure to buy some PAG150 oil too.
