Default AC Vacuum Reservoir Location?

1996 4.0 Convertible
Where is that little bugger located?

Ifn it is like pre facelifts, it is located under a cover in the position on the passenger side that the brake servo/pedal box would be. Accessed from the engine bay.

Pete,

It's physical structure (if not location?) changed on the later cars. I'll see if I can find it on my car this weekend. But here's a pic of it:

That is certainly the type used on the pre facelifts, we will have to wait for PTJS to enlighten us about where the reservoir is located in his car.

I haven't looked at my car yet. The one in your pic APPEARS to look like this one which seems to be the parts from a pre-93.5 MY car ?

Oh man if youre looking for that, I do not envy you. Vacuum leaks are a nightmare to track down and eliminate. Normally ill end up replacing every line fitting component and still have a leak somewhere……

I have a large vacuum canister under the plate that holds the brake accumulator. I’m pretty sure it is for the AC system among other things. To access you have to remove the four bolts holding the accumulator pump and the nut in the middle that is attached to the canister.

What MY car do you have?
Mine is a '96. No accumulator.
