Ron - I've liked your car for a long time and would love to "try it". Thing is, I just got down to owning 2 (1 coupe & 1 vert). I had a '75 coupe project that I just sold to a friend as I have neither the time, space nor cash to deal with 3 Cats.

EDIS had its uses when MegaSquirt distributorless ignition control was just getting started - at this point, I wouldn't bother with using it for a new ignition. At this point, you can control the coils more directly. Did you have a specific coil setup in mind?
ITBs can make tuning a bit more complicated, but it's certainly not outside of the question. If it already has an EFI manifold, I'd probably start with that to learn the basics of tuning, then go on to fabricate a set of ITBs.Matt Cramer

I was talking to Matt about this last year. Still trying to get it safetied and on the road legally before i tear into it. From my research the and from Matt the EDIS is not needed anymore. I was looking to do COP's with Toyota plugs. However I was not aware as you stated about needing it to be double the power if its powering 2 plugs at the same time.

Have you talked to anyone from the megasquirt support staff? They will be able to help you out the best. Like stated, there is no sequential 12 setup. He told me that a wasted spark setup is the way I would need to go.

Hello,
Yes, you could use an MS3 to control the ignition on the V12. The MS3 would use 6 ignition outputs and fire the coils in 6 groups of 2 coils each. This type of arrangement would be considered wasted spark and is a common way of handling ignition. The ECU does not have 12 sequential ignition outputs, as the market demand for sequential 12 ignition operation is really low.

Thank you,

MS3 with the expension pack is what I was leaning towards.
