Default Air conditioner vacuum line help

Hello,
I need some help because I have been bought a XJS 12 1978 disassembled and I don't know the right position of vacuum pipes.
May I ask some picture about XJS with vacuum line, without dashboard.
Thanks in advance and best regards

Maybe this info will help?

There is a Delanair MK II Climate Control Dealer Training manual.pdf that is over 41mb and will not upload to this post. (I tried)

You might search the interweb for a download site?

Hello JHK

Any chance of sending through photo;s that shows your current state. Would just like to compare. Mine has not had Air con since 2012 (I presume - 6 years before my ownership)
My dash is presently out, vacuum lines look attached in the cab - just don't go into the engine bay

Hello Bob

Thanks for the file - 1st time I have seen that. Air con is the next thing on my list to do in the new year

Cheers
Steve

So some photo's attached from mine - not sure if I have the terminology right, so if anyone can correct - it would be appreciated

Green PVC tubing - connecting to vacuum cut when R/H control set to defrost
Black PVC connecting to face level vacuum switch

Blue PVC - runs from both passenger side to drivers side, not exactly sure wher the vacuum controlled solenoid lives at the moment - but will have another look soon. This is running behind the dash panel

Blue line connects to this black thing - which I presume is the blower case flap actuator

Some more photo's for the red PCV

Green pvc at the other end here (this is the left hand side of my XJS) You can see the blue behind pvc it.. Just at the bottom of the photo - you can see the red PVC pipe with my writing on it saying it went to the engine bay.

The red PCV tube then goes to my drivers side of the unit and connects to a ? just in front of the vent

Hope it helps

Cheers
Steve

So does that make yours a left hand drive? Therefore making it reverse to mine (Right hand drive). And the colours seem to be different as well, but as long as they run to the same components.

Anyway - if you have any more questions, this forum is great

Cheers

From memory (might not be accurate anymore?)
Blue is RECIRC
Green is DEMIST
Black is CENTER VENT/FASCIA
Red is HEATER VALVE (or heater blend door?)
White is VACUUM SUPPLY

The aircon unit is not handed, it is the same for both RHD and LHD. The only exception being the route into the car taken by the vacuum tube from the vac reservoir.
