AJ6-are int & exh cams identical lift/dur?
My AJ6 cams (vehicle build date 08/92) have the same casting # on both int & exh cams:
EAC9165 PB
but, there are flats on the sprocket flanges that are indexed differently relative to the alignment notch. On the int cam, the flat and notch are aligned. On the exh the flat is offset from the notch around 70 degrees clockwise, which can be seen in Haynes illus 10.27b
And obviously, the lobes are clocked completely different. But that same casting number sure is confusing.
JaguarLandRoverClassic shows 2 part #'s:
Intake cam EBC5206
Exhaust cam EBC5205
with both flanges shown as round in illus MB4728A
Both flanges show as round in the FSM also (which never ceases to disappoint me with it's inadequate illustrations).
Anybody know if int and exh are exactly the same or different lobe lift/duration specs?
And are there different grinds in the AJ6 or AJ16 families?
