Another possible paint idea

ike my friend, i applaud your enthusiasm of your project, but I have to be honest, your stripes and emblem doesn't do anything for me, except scream 'tacky', no offense. If you do a brand new, british racing green on that car, it will look like a dream car again. Jag is classy and sleek, anything as bold as a strip on the car just doesnt' look right. If you want some type of custom look, perhaps inquire about installing some different jag rims, i've seen other jag model rims go on these older cars and it looks fantastic.
Just some comments from a boring, conservative in Texas.
i am super excited to see a new paintjob on her though!

I've got to agree with H2Oboy. This isn't your run of the mill "rice burner" with all the ad on crap, crazy paint, and the preverbial loud, and obnoxious exhaust noise. This is a Jag, man, treat it with respect, and it will remain the most attention getting car you will ever own. Just my opinion, but you did ask.

I have to agree with the previous comments, leave it solid BRG with maybe a pinstripe in the original factory location. BRG is my favorite color on a Jag. My 90 XJS Conv. is BRG and I have been looking for an identical coupe to add to the collection. I don't see anybody doing anything with custom rims but that can make a huge difference in the look of a car. I have a 95 BMW 525i which has been lowered with sport springs and I have added custom rims. The low stance and custom wheels with wide tires completely transforms the looks and handling of this car. Their doesn't seem to be much of this happening in the XJS community.
