Another thing to check out, noise from LR of car (1988)
Got new tires yesterday, the 23 year old flat spotted tires are gone, sounds like it may be a wheel bearing, or possibly a U-joint in the half shaft, or do these cars have CV joints back there? a light chunk, chunk, chunk type sound.
I noticed the old LR tire was worn on the inside , evenly, not cupped. I will check camber today, as I have a Fastrax alignment gauge, which is a handy tool.
Car rides much better on new rubber. Doesn't run well though, no power, it goes up one steep hill on the way to my house as fast as my 1933 Chev roadster with its 65 HP 6 cylinder motor, the Jag has to down shift to make it up the hill even with a 45 MPH running start. I am not sure which car would win an 1/8 mile drag race.
