No experience, sorry.

But I wonder if these aluminum aftermarket replacements have the same internal baffle/segregation arrangement as the originals?

Cheers

Interesting question. I was tempted a year ago and in the end bought a UK made one from Alicool. Believe it or not a 2 row-radiator, as OEM, cools the XJS better than a 3 row does, so I would go for two 2 row. Some of these Chinese rads clearly state that they are furnace brazed throughout - this means the fins are fixed to the side tank by metal not epoxy. Getting one of the furnace brazed type is a must.

As a matter of fact yes, and the issues with it are detailed here:

https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x...o-bolt-150566/

I had to return it and instead got my original re-cored. When they say it fits '76-'96 that should give you pause, there are differences and it might require some fabrication on your part, or not work at all depending on what model year you are dealing with.

Cheers

Good point. I view such listings as iffy no matter what part is involved.

Sometimes it's true. Ball joints might be one good example.

Other times it means the the part in question is somewhat correct for a wide range of applications....but not entirely correct for any of them
