Where under the hood is the 8 pin connector that connects the FI harness to the FI loom running to the rear of the car?

Can't say for certain on a '92 but on earlier cars is it alongside the RH wall of the engine bay, well forward. If you were to look on the RH wall directly across from the RH air cleaner snorkel inlet you'd probably find it

Here, it is the dirty rubber connector cable-tied to the silver unit, just under the steel aircon pipe:
ROk, so Ive traced my connectors down. The resistor pack is on the RH inner fender, near the fan shroud. It has 8 connectors, as shown in the first 2 pics. That makes sense as it is 4 dump resistors.
The injector connector has 6 connections. 2 positive feeds and 4 switched negatives. From this connector forward to the injectors is what I intend to replace.
Why did Jaguar place the resistor pack under the bonnet near the front of the engine. Cooling? To reduce transients to the injectors when the ECU clamps the grounds?
