Lately I have seen a few stereo questions pop up around here, so i figured I would make a thread for the purpose of answering you car audio, security, remote starts, bluetooth, gps, etc etc etc related questions in our Jag's.
I have been a professional car audio installer for many years, so if you have any 12v questions, feel free to ask.
OK, thanks for the challenge to ask you questions? Here goes. I have the 2014 XJL, and the 2015 F-Type S. I want to fix the Meridian base system in the F. I need to change out the "Mid" range speakers, and don't know the dimensions. I am looking for something like Focals, and hear that this simple upgrade of the speakers makes a big difference over the Meridian mids. What are the dimensions and what do you suggest? Please advise, as I love the highs out of these tweeters, and want to "minimize the reverb in the panels and introduce some mid-range sound", which would round out this system well.
Thanks a lot,
Please advise if Focals or another brand would do the trick!
I'm brand new to this so don't kill me. I have a 09 XF Pre Lux i'm wondering is it possible to get an aftermarket touch screen or can I upgrade to an 2013 in dash touchscreen

I finally found the problem. After pulling all the shrouding away from the unit in the trunk, I noticed a heavy wire with a strange plug on it. Would you believe that this was it? I realized that this plug was supposed to be connected to the unit. After incerting it, my cd/am/fm/tape unit worked as advertised. Thank you all for submitting so many ideas. I had waded through all of them. They also made me think as well.

I've a 2002 x type with the 6 cd changer in trunk. The stereo recognizes the CD player but always says the slots are empty. I took the changer out - checked all the connections (seems ok), but the problem persists. Any ideas on what the issue may be?
Hello I am new here and recently purchased a 1999 jaguar XJ8 I love the car but it is a little old internally so I was wondering if anyone knew in stereo frames that I could replace mine with that wouldn't cost a ridiculous $70+ dollar for practically plastic, links would be highly appreciated thank you and happy driving

Bought a low mileage 2008 jag s type a year ago. Apparently Sirius was an option for latter years s types. Dealer in Scottsdale doesn't deal with this any more and referred me to a Phoenix audio shop, now no longer in business. Suggestions?
Good day to you,
My s type 2000 jag has the base system stereo, 4 speakers, I recently had installed a sub-woofer in the trunk a big improvement, it is possible to add 2 additional speakers to the rear deck, I would like to attempt this myself, can you assist.
Many thanks.

Hi. I'm replacing the head unit in my 1997 xk8 convertible. Can you recommend a wiring harness adapter that will work with the car's factory wiring and a Sony GS Series MEXGS610BT CD Car Stereo Receiver with Bluetooth, NFC Pairing & App Remote SmartPhone Control? Any help is much appreciated.
