Battery photo (has anyone got one?) XJS V12
Hi
As you may have gathered from previous posts, I'm trying to get my XJS's back on the road after a long layup.
To day I'm putting the exhaust system back on, then the road wheels and then She is already for the MOT.
Apart from the Battery
The question I keep getting asked by Motor Factors I'm phoning, is this:
'Is the positive Terminal on the Left or the Right?'
It seems to depend on whether you have the Terminals facing the Bulkhead or facing the Bumper.
Does anyone have a photo, or a link to a photo of a Battery sitting in the carrier of a V12 XJS? so I don't get more confused than I already am!

neg on left front, you want a square one if poss. no modern fixing flange round the base, although it can be cut off,

I know which is positive and negative but I had forgotten which way round the battery sits in the carrier.
Don't know why but I cannot open your photo.
Thanks Anyway

Above picture looks wrong. The cables look like they should cross and go to the other terminals.
I got my last one from Halfords (around 70.00). I had to shave of a small bit from the top bracket to make it fit over the battery, but it needed a respray anyway.
Also l on my '92, the neg.(Blue) terminal is front left and the pos. brown is on the right. This is how it came when new.
but as then battery always runs down after a weekish of non-use, l just slip the neg. cable off if left for a while.
