Default Bluetooth in a 94 XJS? Why not!

I got this neat kit that allowed me to put Bluetooth on my 2001 GMC Jimmy without busting up or drilling any holes in the trim. Now I can play my mpg3 player without any odd tape adapters with a cord connection. Just Bluetooth.
I currently use a tape adapter with a cord to my mpg3 player in the XJS.
Very untidy.
So, I got another of those Bluetooth adapter kits from Best Buy's car install store. The car antenna plugs into the little adapter box and it has an antenna plug that plugs into your radio.
It has a switch that you use to switch between the Bluetooth input box and the car antenna input. Sort of pricy, $75.
But, I think it will be great for the XJS. I do not like putting holes in the XJS trim
and this kit can install without mucking up the interior.
I'll post some pics of the add on in a week or two when the weather gets up in the 50-60 degree range.
I can hear the Beach Boys doing "I'm picking up Good Vibrations", coming from the XJS speakers. . .

I use something like that called a Flexsmart V3 but perhaps even simpler? It plugs into the cigar lighter and allows me to play any music on my iPhone or iPad etc via bluetooth, it also allows hands free calling using the car speakers so I can use the phone too

It was only about $50 I believe.

So you're telling us that you actually own a Jag with a working cigar lighter?

I don't think I have an operational cigar lighter between the 3 of mine. It's one of those "little projects" that I say I'll get around to once I finish whatever "large project" I happen to be working on.

...then something else breaks.

I am having bluetooth installed in my XK8. It will be completely intergrated with the cars stereo. other than a very small microphone there will be no other buttons or devices showing. I will update when it is installed with all the details.

Cool New Bluetooth device from the CES !

Those crafty folks at ION Audio have developed a Bluetooth version of the Cassette tape adapter! No more wires dangling out to your Iphone/iPOD
or other tablets.
It won't be available until mid-Feb or so.
Here is a url that describes it:Cassette Adapter Bluetooth - Bluetooth Music Receiver for Cassette Decks - ION Audio - Technology made simple: app accessories, portable audio, and more

I think I will hold off on putting the radio antenna gizmo in the XJS until I have tried this little gadget.
