Another E bay sells the aftermarket set for 40 dollars. He has good feedback and claim these are high quality. I went ahead and took a chance, as I can not find anyone aftermarket selling just the “Jaguar” badge itself

I picked up a set of these as well, as I couldn't find just a "Jaguar" badge. I got one that was said to be "last one." Another one always seems to appear, however! Anyway, I haven't installed them yet, but they look fine. Last OEM set lasted from about 2003 to 2017, Can't really complain about that, but I wasn't about to pay $125 or so for a set of OEM badges. The OEM set lasted, and stayed affixed for a long time, but after a few years they were dull. AT $23.xx, I'm willing to give these a shot.
Last OEM quotes I was seeing were about $45-50 for the XJS and about $60-65 for the Jaguar. Plus tax, shipping, I was using $125 as an OEM ballpark figure. I'll take another look, however.
I also bought the “last one” for $23. It certainly makes an understated improvement. It was worth the few dollars and minutes to swap out the old, tired emblems. What surprises me most is how the very similar emblems on my 2000 Toyota Land Cruiser still look brand new but these were in such bad shape. Go figure.
One of Pauls Chrome specialties is chroming plastic.
I think I have an 'xjs' boot emblem in my parts bin.
Since I no longer have my XJS I have lots of spare stuff.
