I have a 1988 Jaguar XJS and none of the small windows go up, so I uncovered the cover where the motor is that helps them go up and it only makes the sound but they don't go up. You have to put some liquid in it or you have to do something specific, it seems there is power because the switch only makes the motor sound
Im chasing the same problem . The picture you provided is for the convertible top motor. The motors for the small window are near each window. Therebare relays and thermal breakers for the windows back there by the roof motor.
Well, I bought it by lowering the manual top, so first I started one glass that wouldn't lower and now it's both. Where could I find the fuses or something?
The main item in your photo is the pump to operate the hood.
As you can see, you, or someone else, have turned the valve to the "Manual" position. That means that the hood will not go up and down when you you press the hood switch.
You need to turn the valve back to the "Electric" position and then see if the hood works properly with the windows when the switch is pressed.
