Default Brake lights, again, new thread, solution

There is dead short between the wire from the brake light switch, to ground, after removing the bulb out module.

PO bypassed the brake light relay, somewhere under the dash.

I am not going to try and find his 'fix", I will simply run a new wire from brake light switch and make Y connector to get rid of the lights out module. I don't care if it bypasses the cruise control module, i never use cruise control, heck, maybe the module is the problem.

Possibly related to the issue: The previous owner had cut the glove box hinges in the dash off. I finally found out what that was all about from someone who knew him, he lost the key to the glove box door, so he cut the door off (he had dementia). That also explains the 1.2" hole in the dash (all the way through) right above the glove box, and the hole hacked in the back of the glove box itself, most likely trying to get the door open Maybe he damaged wiring back in there with his hacking around. The horn button cat escutcheon, had been glued over the hole in the dash when I picked up the car, obviously part of the steering wheel he hacked up so he could use the wheel hub to mount that hot rod steering wheel to.

The brake lights is the last fix needed to drive it (for now). Yea!

Now I'm really curious what he thought he left in the glove box...

Yes! We have brake lights and no blown fuses!

The LED brake light bulbs don't draw any significant power, so no issues with any wire gauge sizes in that circuit since there is no more relay.
