No success. The accumulator pump filled the accumulator. I pumped the brake pedal 75 times, still no hard pedal. The reservoir is full.

Pumping the pedal with the ignition OFF purges the accumulator of brake fluid. The pedal should go hard when the fluid is drained.

Then turn the ignition ON wait till the pump stops then pump the pedal again several times this will prime the system and the reservoir level should drop.

Do I understand the procedure is:

1 ignition off
2 pump brake pedal to empty the accumulator
3 turn ignition on
4 wait for accumulator pump to stop
5 keep ignition on
6 pump the brake pedal

Is this correct?

You can skip 1 and 2 - EDIT forgot to say that the point here is if this does not happen and the pedal never goes hard you may need to investigate the possibility of an ABS issue. It might be worth investing a ROM.

Go straight to 3,4,5, and 6 Pump pedal until pump stops - This procedure primes the ABS.

Then bleed brakes.
