broken under dashpad Clip
broken under dash-pad Clip (fuse cover Left hand Drivers side)
Need these Clips to hold it in place so you do not get hurt in a collision..
also covers up the fuse box and make our XJSs look nice..
I could bother Paul's Jaguar... but.. with the stay in place Covid-19 got the wild hair to see if I could learn CAD well enough in a week to draw one
to 3d print it with a 3D Printer...
well after a Week of Pain and failure... I had success...
low quality picture...
looks great on my computer...
JMW
hoping to print it out soon...
I figured with this NICE OLD car... I should start a library of parts I could Print...

WowO... Great work. I am always amazed at people's skills. Skills I wish I had. Really!
Can ya make one ah these, lol??? Could make a pretty penny!

Seriously though. What about the rear interior light (doesn't have to have a manual on off function) for the XJS Convertible? It's mounted on the rear wall. Looks kind of like the one here. It's the circled sections that snap off.

Oh. That one is one I found (to throw into the thread) on eBay. A single unit, 90bucks...! And they are rare and far between - and fragile if one can be had.
Yeah, I was (and most likely will be) going to be going for the glue myself... Yes, glue works. If ya look close - my whole car is held together with it, lol

looks like that Light in the picture is broken on the right... it should be straight up and it looks bent to the right from vertical...
there is a way to recast the clear lens... it is supposed to be center off... one way on with the doors and interior switch and the other way off when doors open and only on with the interior switch...
mine is missing the springy thing that keeps it in one state of the 3.
mine is also missing the axis on that end... I do believe that on one end there is an axial clear nub of lens material that snaps off after so many years the other end has a hole that a feral rivet goes thru... that side does not break..
witch I am now looking to make a solution for...
missing axel
red hot wire to interior light switch bulet
this is end is okay

I used my sons as an excuse to purchase a 3D printer. It seemed like a great learning tool for them. We’ve enjoyed it. The only jaguar thing I’ve printed so far was a wireless phone charger that fits in the ashtray slot. It works pretty well. It was a steep learning curve for me in the beginning and I still seem to learn something new each time I print something. Definitely a fun tool in the workshop.

I have a Tevo Nereus. I’m a total amateur at this point so the limiting factor is me, not the printer. So far it’s done a pretty good job with what I’ve asked of it but I have encountered a few quirks here and there (and I can’t update the firmware with my Mac which is annoying). There are so many models out there to chose from. First I considered getting a pretty high end version. Buy once, cry once so to speak. But I’m glad I got a more reasonably priced one to start with (roughly $300) because Im not afraid to tinker with it. If I ever find the printer becomes my limiting factor (unlikely) I’ll gladly upgrade.
