That looks a lot like a setup Rob Beere offers for E-Types, and similar to what I've seen built by guys who race XJSs. However, in so doing, they eliminate the factory trailing arms. It's curious that Lister retained them.

All the cage mounts were ripped to shreds on my donor, so I bought a used XJS-C diff truss to make sure that same engine/tranny/diff ratio doesn't do the same thing to JagZilla. It's the same solution Bradley Smith used when he had that problem with his twin supercharged XJS.

His setup is the very example I was thinking of. He's a heck of a fabricator.

Love the cold air scoops for the rear brakes, and the exhaust looks really well made and properly isolated from the body too.

I really admire your achievement and stick to itiveness.

I have to make an observation here. If the machinist you've hired refused to attempt it because lack of documentation (I would think he could have simply made measurements to determine if it were possible or not, but that's beside the point) Do you really trust him to do the work?
My grandmother used to have a saying, "a man convinced against his will is a man of the same opinion still."

I would seriously consider giving Mr Bolles a crack at it.

just giving an update, picked up a new rear for the car. and redid a headliner I picked up from a junkyard car (same car as the rear). interior is back together and the engine will resume as soon as a find a new machinist.
