So the motor is all completed, last night we finished up the cnc cut trigger wheel mount for the tec3 6/12 engine computer I am installing. The trigger wheel was welded to the back of the balancer and was then relief cut to allow the balancer to allow it's balancing action space. Here is a pic of the wheel cut to fit the balancer before the welding and machining.
More pictures coming tonight

How are things progressing Calvin?

I'm ready to fire mine up, but, I first have to chase down a problem somewhere in the wiring for my Electromotive unit. I cant seem to get a signal to the fuel pump and starter relays, even though I know have a signal going to the injectors, because I hear the injector relay click when I turn the key.

I hate automotive electrics.

Scott

Easiest way to meter the loom is to unplug from ECU and jumper each pin to a ground in the loom that is not earthed anywhere but the ECU (floating) this way you can check each connection. DO NOT use an earth that is grounded in the loom this could give you incorrect results unless you disconnect every senor, relay and other device on the loom.

Been at school for the past couple weeks so haven't been doing too much.

Currently have the rear end out being Powdercoated and rebuilt.

Where in your car did you locate your computer?

At the moment, it's laying in the passenger floorboard area, looking like a real mess. The plan is to either mount it on the outboard sidewall of the passenger foot well (as it was in the donor), or in the glove box. With my installation, I am pretty much just transferring the components from my donor which already has custom wiring looms built to a given length. Because of that, I'm limited to where I can locate my ECU.

The wires run through the firewall via the access panel from the 89 donor, which has a large tube for the wires and large connectors to pass thru. It also originally held some of the ABS gear. I removed the bracket for the ABS to visually clean up the panel. I couldn't find a rubber boot large enough to fit over the end of the tube, so I will make one out of leather, and add some old world charm to the engine bay.

I'm looking forward to future updates from you, especially those involving your Electromotive unit.

That hole you used for the wiring was a Marelli harness. the bellow off of a steering rack works nicely, almost looks factory.
