Carpeting

Pendax7,
The XJS carpeting is made up of fixed carpet around the sills, transmission tunnel, under seats and rear footwell bulkhead. It then uses removable sections of carpet for the front and rear footwells, which clip into place by differing systems, depending on the age of the XJS. In the UK, we refer to these as the footwell carpets. You can then buy what we call "carpet mats" which are protective carpet overmats that go onto top of these carpet pieces. I'd suggest you always buy some version of those to protect the base footwell carpets.
So, your car, is standard as regards its carpet.
