Really?
My Jaguar rests in he garage. Only on rare occasions does one of my resident cats get on it's hard top.
Now, the other day, two of my furry "friends" were on the Jeep's
hood. When they saw me, they skidaddled pronto!!!
Paint might be hard enough to resist horny claw. Soft top, not so.
Might even be tempting as a "scratching post" to hoe those daggers.
But, OTH, neat looking cats at your place, both of 'em!!!

We have between 10 - 15 cats (number varies due to coyotes and owls) and they all
love the ragtop. I spend several hours a week brushing cat hair out of the top fabric.
Other than the cat hair and occasional muddy paw print, the animals seem to get along.
For some reason the XJ8-VDP doesn't seem to get any attention from the kitties.
I love all the cats, 4-legs or 4- wheels.
Kind regards to all and POR - Press On Regardless

I had a £200 Car Cover ripped to pieces by Cats while my Car was in my Garage, they kept jumping up on the rear corner, in order to get on the Car and then they must have stood up by the Windscreen and used it as a Scratching Post like you said.
Fortunately they didn't get to the Soft Top, so having bought a new Cover, I also throw a plastic Tarpaulin over the Top which seems to have done the trick but I agree with what you say, keep those Cats off your Car or they will cost you a Fortune.

Hi Revski
This is going to end in tears, don't say you haven't been warned (Lol)
Look what this Cat did to my Car Cover and cost me £200 to replace.
Pic: 1 This is how it started by Cat jumping up on the Corner plucking the Fabric.
Pic: 2
This was all that was left and the Cat did this in the Garage.
Pic: 3 Job done! what makes it even worse is that if you take a close look at her face this Cat is gloating!
Just having a little sleep before I go and rip your New Car Cover to Shreads.

OB,
There's something about that soft fabric on those waterproof covers that seems to attract cats! I had a genuine Jaguar cover ruined on my XJS by the neighbours cats. And because he hadn't been to the cat manicurist recently, the damage went through to my convertible hood!
The new cover is sprayed regularly with some sort of bu***r off cat spray and that seems to be working ok at present.

Although this Cat is a PIA the only reason I put up with it, is because it keeps the Squirrels away and there are lots of those roaming around in my garden.

TOP CATS! haahahhaha
well I use these on the top.
Harbor Freight Haul-Master - item#66537
they last about 4 months in the weather... outside in the garage a lot longer.... I leave them on in the rain out side as they wick away the water the top of the blanket will be wet and the underside will be dry....
after a shower I can just head out to the car and fold the blanket up carefully as to not get water on the top and I will have a dry top I can fold down...
other wise you have to wait for your top to dry.... and the cats do get on them too....
