CD Changer
My '92 did not come with the factory CD changer. Getting one is on my to do list (just not my immediate to do list). Wondering if those who do have them have any issues with them playing discs you've burned on your computer? I've got crate loads of CD's that I've ripped into MP3s and would like to make some compilation CD's for the car when I get one. Also, what year CD changers would work with my radio?? Any of the later ones that may (hopefully) play MP3's on disc work with my radio? Wife's rabbit plays MP3, we burned a load of MP3's on 5 discs and now hardly listen to the radio at all anymore. Would be nice if I could do the same for the Jag.
Thanks,

Thought about that also. I really want to keep the factory radio to prevent having to cut up the dash.. and the CD changer plug is just sitting there mocking me!!!! To keep the factory radio, and use the phone to play mp3's I have 2 options....to use one of those FM transmitter things or a cassette adapter that I saw at Walmart. Unsure of the sound quality of the transmitter, but way back in the day I had a thing play cassettes in the 8track player of a car I once owned. The sound quality from it was far less than stellar. 'Course that was 30 years ago, they're probably better now.

Mines a 94 and the CD changer works when it wants to. I think I read it's Alpine branded Jaguar. I would agree with sidescrollin... Get something more up to date. Does the stereo not look the same as in mine? It looks to be the same size as most aftermarket radios. Swapping mine out is on the to-do list.

They all say 'fit with modification'. Get a nice understated Nakamichi with green illumination to match the rest of your dash. Make sure it has iPod control capability, load up a 16 or 32 GB iPod and leave it connected in your glovebox or center console.
Most of the nicer units have an iPod input on the back of the head unit - just route the cable to the glovebox or center console and leave the iPod in there. I take mine in the house maybe once a month to sync up if I'm on a new music spree.
