Here's mine,
10 coats of Polyacrylic, applied by brush, hand sanded between coats. 4 coats of spray on Ploy, followed up by 4 coats of Liquid Glass polish

front seating and console, not sure if it can be noticed, wood veneer on the center console

Daverb, the cockpit looks nice and fresh. I see that you did it four years ago, so was the base pattern (I.e. the "wood") contact paper, too? Or did you use actual burlwood lamination. It does look nice, regardless.
This just reminded me that I have a bunch of the real thing that I got from a known specialist some time ago and which you can see that I used on my kitty's radio surrounds and of which I have plenty left over. Now that I see enthusiasts doing this, it tells me that I should share with my fellow members here and offer some piece(s) to those who are planning on redoing their cockpit wood. The only thing is that, because we're moving, most of my stuff is in storage and I have no idea where exactly I placed the package, but as oon as I can get my hands on it I will pull all the pieces from the bag and take pictures of them, as the wood pattern tends to vary from piece to piece and whoever wants a piece will be able to pick the best match for his/her dashboard.
Meanwhile, if you're reading this and want a piece, please write me a private note here at the site and I'll put you on the list. Remember that it will probably be like three months for me to be ready to get my hands on my lamination package. This house will sell quick, but escrow takes time and then the actual move, etc.
Cheers,

The lack of wood in the new Jags really gets to me. This has been one of Jaguar's traditional leading features, yet, it is incredible how something for which Jaguar was the recognized world leader has fallen apart and nowadays anybody has better looking interiors that feature attractive wood veneers, but Jaguar. Neither Mercedes, nor Lexus, or Audi, or even BMW ever thought that they needed to eliminate the wood from the interior in order to appeal to the younger crowd. Now you have to go with an eye loupe inside the XJ to try to find some wood; sad, at least for us, Jag traditionalists.
And the funny thing is that, in spite of doing this supposedly marketing aggressive step (removing wood) sales of the sedans today are just a fraction of what they were when my 2002 XJR was manufactured and sold with all of its beautiful wood veneer in it. Go figure.
Hey, keep up the good work!
