i have a brand new set here in the UK for sale , they are for the pre facelift coupe ( 84-92 )
i think postage may well be the killer,
pm me if interested
just to expand on the info , they are polished aluminium with a polished stainless insert that is glued in , this stainless section has the etched logo in it, removal is by way of gentle leverage with a large flat tool from the carpet side, its just held on with pinch clips on the sill lip
BB

I looked for a long time for replacement door sills for my '92 XJS and never found any. Any used ones I came across were usually beat up.
I did find new sill badges for my SIII XJ6 at Martin robey ltd and they weren't too expensive. Part number bbc7400. Are the badges a different size on the XJS sills?

Gentleman , apologies for my tardiness
as promised, here are the pictures of my ' spare ' XJS HE ( pre-facelift ) sill covers
they are brand new, bought by myself from Jaguar when still available while i was collecting spares for my own restoration , and are now surplus to requirement for my own car,
as can be seen in the reflection , these are as near mint as you will ever find , unless you buy new from jag, which you can't atm
IMG_2352 by MyPix on Talk Photography
in original packaging as supplied from jaguar
IMG_2349 by MyPix on Talk Photography
and some ' beauty shots '
IMG_2351 by MyPix on Talk Photography
these are the separate top cover etched stainless sections with 3M tape on the back( once fitted never to be removed without damage ( trust me , i know )
IMG_2354 by MyPix on Talk Photography
i even have some ' Jaguarsport ' ones

i will add, that these HE sill covers are longer than the later facelift one, which due to the shape of the a pillar bottom trim is around 2" shorter , so in theory , these can be carefully cut to fit the later short one, as other than length there is zero difference in them

So, I went to a sign shop and they made a replicate of the metal badge for my door sill. It looks pretty darn close but it is a decal.

thats looks quite good, and would be fine until you find originals ,

Ive had decent results using an orbital polisher and rubbing compound with an orange pad
On the driver side, the scratches were much more significant in both number and intensity, so i went with the yellow abrasive pad - big mistake. That almost took off the jaguar script. I'll have to get my other phone to find that pic

DIY Carpetting
Has anyone purchased a roll of carpet for their xjs? there is no carpet molding so I cant see why you would need to pay money just to have someone cut it out for you when you can easily match it with the old and cut it yourself.
any sources for rolls of quality auto carpet?
