The idea of a "Sportspack" gradually almost disappeared. By the time of the facelift cars (as per the 92 car being discussed), the idea of separate sports seats had gone. Different steering valving then disappeared. By 93 the rear anti-roll bar had been deleted as potentially offering limited improvement. The only things that remained by the end were differing springs and shocks, different spec front anti-roll bar and 225/55 tyres rather than 225/60 tyres. In the UK Jaguar just marketed the late cars as "Coupes have Sports suspension and 4.0 Convertibles have Touring Suspension". You could spec the alternative suspension configuration on each model if you wished.

So, just got off the phone with the owner of the '92 4.0L, 5spd, coupe,190k km.
Bag of receipts but did not have details at hand. Water pump recently done. Apparently the battery is draining down after a couple of days. Bad battery? Short? Bad alternator?
Got the VIN so will get a carfax.
couple of small rust bubbles on fenders.
apparently the leather is in mint condition.
The owner did comment that with the clutch depressed, if you rev the engine there is a slight vibration......hhhmmmm........anyone any thoughts on that?
Will be going to look at it most likely.
As ever, thanks for any and all advice!

Only read the last post mentioning getting a carfax. I use and recommend autovhr.com to obtain my carfaxes for 8.99 just remember to save the pdf file afterwards because the link will expire after 30 days
