Default Convertible Antenna Grommet

Heyas,

I need to source an antenna grommet for my '93 4.0 convertible. It took me a load of googling just to figure out what the part was called, lol. The grommet is missing on my car altogether, so I didn't even know what it looked like.

Now that I know the magic search terms, I am finding some of the usual suspects selling part no. DAC3588 (the prices are hilariously all over the map). None of the catalogs indicate a difference between the coupe and convertible, but my observation is that the body surface back there at the antenna is quite different.

Will this part fit the (much flatter) convertible bodywork?

At that price, it's got to be worth a try!

Default Jag parts

Kurt

I just bought one for my convertible from here: Genuine Jaguar Parts and Jaguar Accessories for Classic Jaguars. I also bought a new Ariel and wiper blades for the front lights.

This site is probably the best oem supplier for jag parts. Brilliant service too.

No kidding! That was the cheapest price by far, so I did order it from Welsh (plus the service manual cd-rom I needed, since I had to pay minimum shipping regardless).

Thanks muchly! Tell us how your install went. They certainly have an excellent website; I am particularly in favor of this diagram, which looks quite helpful.

I'll note that the jaguarclassicparts.com site indicates the same part no. everyone else does, so I'll give that a try when it comes in.

FWIW, when I bought my car the grommet was missing. I went to Lowes and bought one that went right in the hole and seems to fit perfectly, very snug around the antenna. It looks like it should be there. I think it was a buck or so.
