Corrosion Inhibitor for exposed parts - Recommendation

Good morning. Just wanted to share a product we use for exposed hardware on our helicopters to prevent corrosion. It's called Black Bear Par-Al-Ketone. Wonderful stuff. Comes in a quart sized oil bottle, and you brush it on. Stable up to 180 F so everything except directly on the engine/exhaust is ok. About 30-40 USD per quart but it lasts a long time. A dab will do as they say. It forms a semi solid layer and "self-heals" so to speak. If any member lives near the beach or in northern climes where road salt is used I'd suspect trying this product might be of interest. Hardware must be cleaned before application as is standard. Have a good day.

At Greg's recommendation, I'm an Aquasteel fan now. It's very easy to apply. The fact that it converts the rust as well as providing a latex barrier which can be overpainted is a real advantage. Unlike some converters and primers, it creates a converted surface that looks like shiny black metal and matches with sound suspension and chassis parts.
Definitely worth a look.

Oh very nice.
Man you guys have good stuff over on that side of the pond. We do have rust converters of course but the other product features sound novel in combination. Blackbear I suppose is to prevent rust since we are allowed none on the spinny flying machines and Aquasteel is to help treat and prevent. Good stuff.
