'76 XJS 5.7 SBC conversion. My ignition switch has failed me for the last time. It is coming apart and is un-repairable. I looked for replacements and can only find one for $300. Not happening. I want to make my own using switches but don't know what the wires are going to the ignition switch. There are six total wires: white, white pink, white yellow, brown (14 GA), brown (12 GA), brown red. Can anyone tell me where these wires go?
On the XJS, Black wires are usually Ground/Earth and Brown wires are B+. Using the chart below and can figure out the colors codes for all of the wires;
Example - WY = White/Yellow
N = Brown
B = Black
W = White
K = Pink
G = Green
R = Red
Y = Yellow
O = Orange
S = Slate (Grey)
L = Light (e.g. Light Blue, Light Green etc.)
P = Purple
U = Blue
