Default DAC7990 Alarm fob cheap replacement

Dear all,

Having spent nearly £100 a while ago on the DAC7990 alarm fob (which if we're honest looks pre-historic) I've now found a cheap replacement that seems to work faultlessly.

Purchased from ebay (Multi-Frequency Adjustable Cloning Remote Control Duplicator 433 868 315 418 MHz | eBay) this tecmania multi frequency remote absolutely fits the bill. It's £17.99, so represents a saving of over £80 and also looks pretty good. It took me 30 secs to duplicate my existing remote, and it worked first time! So, I purchased another.... Hope that's of help to people.

Very cheap replacement.
Genuine items are available for about £60

Paul, they are not the same remote as I have on the system on my car. The replacement remote would also (I assume) work on those you listed and most of the older Jaguar remotes.

Beavis-- do you know if clones from eBay can be programmed without a working remote as other used ones can?

Hiya - unfortunately you need the original for the one in the add. The process for setting it up involved pressing the button on your original remote!

Can also say, that initially I was a little worried about my duplicated remote - but having now been using if for a few weeks my concerns have gone, and while I used to carry the original with me as backup I now don't bother. I've also purchased another one which has been duplicated as my spare.

Thanks. I'll keep looking for a good price on a used one and if it works I can add one of these
