around 10yrs back we had available Dodge Viper Aluminum rear drive units, but still cant beat the cost of a Jag Dana 44 unit.

about the same time,a junkyard i visited ,sold me XJ,XJS complete cage and rear drives for $75. dollars, stripped and crushed left over carcas.

same yard ,when i dumped 3 complete V12s for $75 dollars.

The Auburn HP was on sale at 4wd.com until two days ago at $269. Free shipping.

Snapped one up

The problem is that junk doesn't stick around long now in it's original form.
It gets crushed, melted, chipped long before you get around to finding it.

Missed a rebuilt Dana 44 19 spline by "that much". Great price, respected
builder.

Anyone know if the limited slips in a 1973 Firebird Trans Am and a 1984
Dodge Diplomat slant six fleet vehicle were the cone type?
