Is there a way to easily disable & enable again a front passenger airbag when needed.
I need to use the front seat for a fourth child that I look after, so need to disable the airbag occasionally and put it back on when an adult sits there or I have a vehicle test .
I can't see a switch anywhere so any good ideas appreciated

 

I shudder at the potential reasons you might ask such a question . . . but the fast answer is NO, there is NO such switch, nor can you disable it . . . legally or OTHERWISE!

That is completely unnecessary in that vintage of XJ8. If a passenger under the appropriate weight sits in the passenger seat, the airbag turns off automatically. There is an indicator on the dash above the glove box.
