Do you need a HE Fuel Injector Harness?
I just bought my 5th HE XJS and need Fuel Injector harnesses for all of them. I also help fix XJS's here in Denver and need to make harnesses for those as well. I have decided to do a production run of the FI harnesses so I always have one ready when needed.
If any of you would be interested in a harness let me know and I will add them to the production run.
Thanks!
Mark

Hi Guys,
To answer some of the questions I have received;
1. I am making the harness to the same dimensions as the original Jaguar part (DAC3718).
2. All wire is upgraded to GXL 16ga Cross Linked Polyethylene rated at 125°C (257°F).
3. All new connectors and terminals (no recycled parts).
4. Heat resistant fiberglass wire covering.
5. Each FI connector will be labeled with position number (A1, B1, A2, B2 etc.)
6. Estimated cost will be about $325.00 USD each.
I am still waiting for some parts to arrive so it will be a week or so before the first harness is completed. I will post pictures as soon as possible.
Also, I would like to make a harness for the older XJS that has the extra fuel injectors for cold starting. I need an old harness to get the pattern for the dimensions. If you have an old harness that I can use please let me know. This would also apply to those of you who need a harness for a Facelift XJS (1992-96), a Vanden Plas or any other V12 Jaguar. If you can send me an old harness then I will let you know if I can make a new one.
Thanks!

Hi Jimmy,
I'm pretty sure that the facelift cars are different from the pre-'91 models. In fact I believe for the 6.0L cars there is more than one version of the FI harness.
I'm sure I could make a new one but I need and old harness first so I can get the dimensions and ensure I can get the proper connectors.
If you would be willing to let me borrow your old harness (assuming it is still in one piece) then I could let you know if I can make a new one. I would return the old harness along with the new one.
Let me know.
Thanks!
Mark

And once I have the pattern then anyone wanting a harness would be able to get one quickly. You would be doing a great service to your fellow Jaguar owners. ;-)

It is a lot of work in the beginning but like many things it gets easier the more you do it. Fortunately I have a manufacturing background and have made many kinds of harnesses in the past so I know what tools and processes to use to be efficient and produce good quality.
While making the first harness I identified several areas where I can make improvement over the original Jaguar design. I am now building a harness with those improvements and will test fit it to an engine next week.
If all goes well I will post pictures of the improved harness very soon and be able to start production.
Stay tuned.
