Freeway/highway entrance ramps are one generally a pretty safe place to "give her the boot".
Far be it from me to dawdle about when entering the highway. At minimum it bollixes up traffic flow and very possibly puts other drivers at risk. I couldn't live with myself if I did that. My goal is to always be at full highway speed when merging-in. If that means a wide-open-throttle blast to 70mph or so, then so be it.
It's a sacrifice I'm willing to make. I'm just that type of person. Always thinking of others.
Other than that I'm a very docile driver. Never use more than 1/4" throttle. Never. Jaguars are very fragile, you know. And all that stuff about teaching arrogant Audi and BMW drivers a few lessons? Not me. I would never do that.
Cheers

Although I did need to show a young upstart in a newish A3 that it is impolite to try to pass an old X300 through a 2-lane roundabout. He now knows the etiquette.

i have always thought that 120-130 mph was fast for the street, late at night.
but dont come to Austin TX or the Houston area, they have a lot of 200 MPH cars around here, and i always thought it was BS, until one night a younger guy said ,come on out for some FUN, things liven up after midnight!
scared the begeewhiz out of me, 1993 Toyota SUPRA , inline six ,BIGGG turbo.
