Tom,
I'm guessing that your 92 has a small leather sleeve over the end of the door armrest pull. It is difficult but see if you can slightly twist it as you pull it back. In addition, try and move it back only the smallest amount in order to get a screwdriver on the large screw. In addition, you need to remove the small screw attaching the triangular chrome escutcheon plate in the top far corner.
Once those are removed and all the plastic "fir cone" plugs have been gently prised out (feel for all of them with your fingers) you then need to lift up the whole door card which is attached to the door frame with two plates that engage in slots in the door frame.
As it detaches (you may need to slightly slide it sideways), you then need to carefully unplug the single electrical lead near the bottom of the door.
Good luck
Paul

A trick to removing the chrome bezel is to wrap the leather with string to compress it and then slide the bezel. Not only does it compress the leather it also protects it from scuff marks. Kinda like removing a small ring from a fat finger
