Attempting to replace semi-facelift door rubbers
Wish I had not started! It was so easy to pull the old rubber off ![Icon Lolsign](https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/images/smilies/icon_lolsign.gif)
Is there a good, best place to start from? Is there a technique that makes it a little easier?
Getting somewhere with the bottom bit, with effort, but how do you get it in when you get to the hinges? Worried that having done the lower edge I'll get to a corner and it's too short or long. Also looking at the window bit![Icon Rant](https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/images/smilies/icon_rant.gif)
Has anyone got any hints please?![Icon Goofygrin](https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/images/smilies/icon_goofygrin.gif)
Thanks, Tony

Been there.
One or two or the corners are very well defined in the molding of the weatherstrip so I picked one and started from there. Then just started tucking the strip into the channel using a flat plastic tool. *Every few inches* I'd stop to see if the 'leg' I was working on would fall short, or run long, of the next intended stopping point and then slightly stretch or compress the weatherstrip to compensate. Some spray silicone helps.
The above makes it sound easy. It isn't. Itsa bitch !
The area along the hinges was tricky but somehow I managed. It was years and years ago....wish I could remember more, sorry
Cheers
