I think it may be possible to change the rubber only.
However, I think it would require you to unbend one end of the chrome piece.
Maybe not to remove the rubber but absolutely to reinsert it.
It would be like returning the tooth past to the tube.

I'm looking to order a couple of strips - super cheap. Like 15bucks. We had some hard rains here last night and I'm afraid a GOOD amount of water was able to run between the window and rubber - pooling a bit at the well in the bottom inside of the door....

My convertible is an 89. Pre facelift. I didnt need to bend anything im sure. I did a search and there was a very helpful thread by a guy who had done the same job. Main thing is lubricant when refitting to pull it along. Not too bad a job I'd say and I didn't even ask Greg or grant for help🤣🤣🤣
