I have metered the wire to pin 24 on the Marelli and Bax is correct

Edit as I was wrong

Bax does your car start with this wire disconnected. My car is still in bits ATM.

If it's solid white and shielded, it's the wire to the ECU....lower left area of your diagram...which has been cut off.

If it's white/slate/blue, it's for the tachometer

In the original pic of the wire you can *just* see the braided shielding peeking out of the sheathing. or...um...I think you can !

Mine was way in bottom of the V almost invisible there is not enough wire to tie mine to the fuel rail.

So in the Marelli the dreaded white wire does go through the engine bay, at least in early Marelli cars.
