OK, my google-fu is failing. Are there any tips how to remove the driver seat? I found four screws holding rails, but the rear right one requires a tool I don't have. Perhaps I'm doing it all wrong and there is an easy way?
Hello Segfault
Might be completely wrong here - but they should all be the same type of screws, they are on my 1980 originally. I think according to below - they were as well
Now for my disclaimer - I am new to the Jaguar world, and with 6 years difference between yours and mine (and mine had suspect mounting screws).
One thing I did learn was the other 3 (2 in the front and 1 near the handbrake) the nuts fall off. The rear one was no problem. The ones holding the front can fall through the second hole in the rail, which can be a real ***** to get out if it happens
Seat out
I believe this is the one you are having trouble with - mine was just what I call a Phillips head stud
Front centre captive nut - there is another hole directly below this nut that goes to the floor. It was a real pain to get it out again
This are the screws that were holing my seat in - the longer one on the right was near the centre rear. The other shorter one was on the centre front with the captive nut. The other two are not original (previous owner modifications)
Cheers
Steve

Reason: did not upload picture
Thanks for reply. I think I need to go tomorrow morning and have another look at this. BTW, the first picture does not display in my browser (latest Chromium).
Yes they are T-40. My trouble appears to be the seat is not moving forward enough to let me access the rear right bolt. The left bolt was put in from underneath by someone who was there before. I can't figure out what is restricting the movement of the seat. It hits something, I can hear and feel it.
Bez74 receives the credits for setting me straight. The pictures were most useful. Just when I was about to go and get a surgical periscope. One of upper rail bolts was partially out and it was the culprit blocking seat movement.
BTW, here is the reason I had to remove it. The rubber base cracked and my butt dived deeper than I liked it. My quick dirty solution. Probably these rubber sheets are sold somewhere, costing an arm an leg? Stretching it into place would be another ordeal.
