Default Drove the '88 H&E a few miles today

Runs kind of crappy, probably because about 4 gallons of left over way old gas in teh bottom tank was mixed with about 5-6 gallons of new gas after getting the fuel pumps and senders sorted out. I did add a bunch of fuel additive to help out the old gas. I would have liked to drain the old stuff out better but disposal is a problem, anymore. Getting new tires Thursday to replace the 23 YO tires that are on the car.

Speedo stopped working. it worked when i brought it home. Maybe I disturbed something under the console getting the brake wiring fixed. I will worry about it later

Its looks bunch better with those awful wavy side moldings removed.

Still need to find an unmolested hood.

Doug

Any 80s XJS hood will fit. I replaced my hood with one from an 85. Shipping cost me more than the hood. Search for one within driving distance from where you are.

That first drive is something, isn’t it? You can feel the potential…..
Good job and good luck!
