Did you get a GTS or GTB? I saw couple at an auction in Toronto last year and couldn't believe how tiny they were. They also look like a heck of a lot of fun. Pics?
Mkii250 i got the targa GTS

Hard to compare my XJS to my 308, they are 2 different cars. The 308 is about the sounds of the carbs and the exhaust. You have to DRIVE it, no power steering, no automatic anything! I like the sound of the clicks from the shift gate, the tight steering and suspension, and the high revving engine. The XJS to me is more luxury than sports car. Smooth soft ride, power steering and quiet. The car is very comfortable.

I understand you wanting the 308 but I cannot understand letting a Signal Red XJS go. It looks so darn good.

My ultimate goal for the last 30 years was to own a 308. When I got serious about it, I knew one of the cars had to go. We decided to let the XJS go. Yes the XJS is a beautiful car, but I don't like leaving it outside. It is a difficult decision,it is also a car I always wanted to own.

I used to work for a place in Grand Rapids, MI on Saturday mornings cleaning the shop. It was called University Motors. This guy had spent YEARS over in England and became a licensed MG mechanic from them, and that is all he ever brings into his shop is 1980 or older British cars.

I got bumped up the being allowed to do detailing on the cars. John's vacum had broken so he handed me a 5 dollar bill and told me to take everything to the gas station and use the vaccum there.

After taking a 1929 Invicta, and 2 1966 Jaguar XKE's there to vaccum out, my dreams of driving a high end car ended there. Those things were AMAZING.... So DD if that is part of your job, I am envious.
