Default Duplicolor wheel paint review.

Here’s the review: Wow!

I painted my wheels with a 2k bright silver urethane and they were too “gray.” Silver is a bitch of a color to get right on wheels.

I bought the Duplicolor silver wheel paint as a test on my spare and I was so impressed I went over the previously painted wheels.

The color and metallic is perfect but what really
impressed me was the fact that it takes 7 days to cure. That is a long time for a 1k air dry paint and suggests to me there is something extra in there that makes the finish especially tough.

here are some pics!

How long is the paint tacky?

In other words, how long before you can let any (windblown) dirt/debris around the paint, or drive the car?

My wheels are dull from sun exposure, they could use a refresh.

Dries to the touch in only a few minutes, it seemed like regular spray paint until I read the instructions about 7 day cure time.

Oh very nice. Do you know the Vickers'? They live in GP. Big airstream. Anyway if you're ever up near PDK where I work I'd love to see the car. Never been close to one and I sure never see one on the road.

Will do. Heads up, this one will be for sale soon. Interesting car, only has 25k miles, but needed some work cause it sat outside.

send a message if you're in the market

I so so wish I was ready to buy. Gotta wait for our daughter to transfer from private Pre-K to public K school next year to start saving. (I plan to purchase cash not financed). How much would a fine specimen like yours be listed for? Sorry to hijack this thread. Your wheels and your car really do look Aces.
