Early XJS driver window regulator repair

My '89 convertible driver side window stopped working so I took it out of the door. The motor brushes were in bad shape and the pivot arm would not move freely. The pivot would actually hang in various positions.
OE part JLM10579 or 22060131LH (Delco). I can't afford $800+.

Maybe get a good used regulator and motor?
Try David at EveryDay XJ. He's a good guy and might have what you need
Everyday XJ
If you haven't already discovered, 1989-ish is tricky for window motors and regulators. A couple types were used (with perhaps a third type of convertibles?) and new replacements often require adapters to work.
If you get a matching motor and regulator you should be OK
On my '88 XJS a window motor failed. The motor portion was ordinary but the drive portion was Jaguar specific. The local parts store had a close match. I swapped the Jaguar drive section onto the motor from the parts store and....presto !
Cheers

Thank you Doug.
I am going to local shop today with everything I have found in my own junk bin. I have several versions of the regulator and six different motors.
Hopefully, they can tell me how to disassemble the center pin.
EVERYDAY XJ is a good vendor but no help on this yet.
I may be able to replace the motor brushes myself but the drive screw is not centered on the driven gear so it jumps teeth -is the nylon gear any good?
