Default Efficient route to run wire from engine compartment to battery?

Wiring a fan controller directly to the battery. Anyone have experience with a location to run wiring from the engine compartment to the trunk of the car where the battery is located?

Once I'm in the cab I think I can handle it but I'm stuck at the firewall.

Any help is appreciated.

If you mean engine bay fans, there are 2 positive terminals on the firewall behind the cam covers in the engine bay, DEPENDING ON THE MODEL of XJS.

I have a 1987 XJS, installing a fan controller for a new 16'' electric rad fan.

As Warren said there are two posts on firewall that will dwarf any additional wire you might run back to battery.

Hi Connor

Here it is right at the end of the Yellow Screwdriver Handle, under a rubber Cover and there should be one on the other side too.

The 12volt Firewall Terminal is at the end of the handle of the Yellow Screwdriver under a rubber cover.
